Who we are
Hey there! We’re Rachel and Amanda and we’re two moms on a mission to help other moms streamline their family workload to reduce daily chaos and spend more time living the dream. We don’t have a magic wand to offer you (that would only wind up in a junk drawer), but we do have wisdom and years of experience that have taught us to take control of our chaos.
We’re here to show you solutions that have helped us over the years to work smarter not harder – because the “harder” lifestyle was exhausting! We hope you will experience humor and hope in our weekly newsletter and also in our online community – MotherHood – our virtual neighborhood; and that you find solutions in each that you can implement in your life starting today! Mama, chances are you already have what it takes you just need someone to show you how to use it. We are here for YOU!
I’m Amanda Pullukat, co-founder of Grace in the Race. I’m a mom to 3 kids: Neal (in high school), Naveen (in middle school) and Neena (in elementary school). I’m married to Joe, an automotive engineer. We own a Montessori preschool & often sit around brainstorming new business ideas.
I love planning, organizing and figuring out the most efficient ways to live my life. I want to spend less time on the exhausting tasks of being a mom & spend more time with my fun kids. One of them only has 3 years left at home!!!
My motto is “Work Smarter, Not Harder”!
Hi! I’m Rachel Antone, co-founder of Grace in the Race.
I’m married to Steve, a pediatrician, and we have two tween boys, Charlie and Will. I’m a writer, a creator, a visionary, and a personal development enthusiast.
Though my educational background is in Organizational Behavior and my work experience is uniquely diverse, I’ve spent the last 13 years working from home, primarily in the entrepreneurial role of stay-at-home-mom.
I love early mornings with coffee, sunny days, and laughing out loud. My motto is “Life is too important to be taken seriously, so give yourself grace and keep moving forward!”
What we offer
We glean our expertise straight from the experts themselves. We read, watch and listen to as many as we can and are here to pass along to you what we’ve learned. Through our newsletter, we’ll share with you the resources we test and implement, the advice we heed and follow and the successes and failures we experience, and humbly learn from, first-hand. We’ve discovered a reliable approach to increase the efficiency and productivity of our day-to-day lives and we’re grateful for the opportunity to share that knowledge with you. Our solutions are designed to fit your unique set of circumstances so how you implement them will be different from anyone else. Change begins with an open mind, a will to succeed, and grace.
What does ‘Grace in the Race’ mean?
We’re all too familiar with the breakneck pace of life and the daunting task of keeping up with it day-after-day-after-day. We also know it’s not possible to function at top speed and keep your sanity. Most days we feel burdened to choose between the two: get to the finish line or hold on to your sanity. What we really need is a ‘temporary reprieve’ — that’s the definition of grace. Grace gives you permission to reset when your day-to-day life spins out of control. Grace in the Race is a temporary reprieve in the endless pursuit of an exhausting routine. The exhausting routine is the race. We’re here to teach you a new routine; one that sets you on a course for your joy to outweigh your chaos. Stick with us, mama! We’ve got you!
So, that’s us in a nutshell. Who are you?
Are you a Chaos Coordinator? (Click the link to find out!) We love that someone coined that phrase and put it on swag. Our favorite coffee mug defines one version as: “Someone who does precision guesswork based on unreliable data provided by those of questionable knowledge.” While we find that amusing, it’s sadly, not far from the truth. As moms, we spend much of our days feeling overwhelmed by the chaos. If you could use some help streamlining your family workload to reduce your chaos, Grace in the Race can help!
Grace in the Race explores…
Grace in Productivity
Life-management is the key to getting through every single day! The ability to effectively manage your calendar and to-do list will help you make the most of each day and be better prepared for life’s surprises. With proper planning comes peace of mind!
Grace in Wellness
How is your energy level? Are you a good sleeper? Do you practice self-care? Do you have consistent habits around eating and exercise? If you could benefit from improvements in this area, you’re not alone. The good news is that you’re here on the best day to start. TODAY!
Grace in Growth
Are you actively working to be the best version of you? Personal development can be explored through many facets including books, podcasts and more. There is no limit to what you can achieve once you make the shift to a growth mindset.
Grace at Home
Do you ever wish your house was cleaner or more organized? Do you ever let a mess build up because the thought of tackling it is overwhelming? Do you have a junk drawer? Have you ever found a french fry in your car that’s older than your kids? And how about that sticky stuff at the bottom of your purse? Enough said.
Grace in Family
Do you ever have mom guilt? How about wife guilt? Family is the foundation of our greatest joys and most trying times and the challenges never go away, they just grow with our children. With grace, you can improve the quality of your family life to ensure the memories of these years will be fond ones for the whole family.
Grace in Awareness
Awareness is the opposite of ignorance – the unknown – and unknowns lead to misinterpretation, misunderstanding, assumption, fear and silence. Find your voice by increasing your awareness. We don’t pretend to know what others feel and experience day in and day out, but we are committed to doing our part to ensure the next generation gets this right.
