Hey GIRL (that’s you, our Grace In the Race Ladies):
Thanks for stopping by – we so enjoy spending our Saturday mornings with you! Warm-up your coffee and pull up a seat…
Fred Rogers was a legend in our time and the O.G. of grace in the race. He taught us kindness and integrity and the fundamental life-skill of making good choices. He taught us to be good humans and to love one another. He taught us to handle adversity with patience and perspective through a lens of inclusivity and understanding. He taught us to be slow to judge and quick to forgive and how to rock a cardigan, no matter the season. From his calm demeanor to his bright smile, he ingrained in us the extraordinary power of imagination and the value of community.
MotherHood
By now, you’ve heard that Grace in the Race has a new online community – MotherHood – our virtual neighborhood. We took the best aspect of Facebook – the ability to be in conversation, and left the stigma of social media behind. We added to that the ability to categorize our discussions so that topics don’t get lost in mile-long threads.
In this new platform, we also have a place to house the content from Grace-in-all-things that we share with you weekly in our newsletters; in the event that you want to refer back to it in the future without having to scroll through past newsletters.
The Grace Experiment
Perhaps our favorite feature of this community, however, is The Grace Experiment. In this space, we address mom-relevant topics in an online forum and pair that with a “live” weekly discussion in our Grace Lab (i.e. Zoom call). It’s an opportunity to experiment with a topic that helps us grow as moms (and good humans) and to ask questions of other moms going through similar struggles. It’s also an opportunity to share your knowledge and experience with moms going through something you’ve already lived and learned from. We are, after all, stronger together!
The Grace Experiment is meant to meet you where you are on this rollercoaster-mom-journey and to offer you new ideas, perspectives, systems, and resources to simplify your life! Words alone can’t clearly paint the picture or truly impart the impact that these experiments can have and so we encourage you to try it – come check it out and see for yourself. All you have to do is join The Grace Experiment. It’s free (for a limited time) and affords you the opportunity to participate at your comfort level, on your timeline.
The feedback from our first series has been phenomenal (and humbling – our gratitude cup is overflowing)! When we announced the next series during our Zoom call last Friday, one participant exclaimed that she was so relieved that it wasn’t ending after our current series and another affirmed that the Friday Zoom conversations are a great way to end the week; to check-in with fellow moms and be reminded that we’ve got this!
Our Community, Our Neighborhood, Our MotherHood
We look forward to seeing you around the neighborhood! In the meantime, check out Grace in all things below and imagine the possibilities. Oh, and heads up, this is an ad. We’re light on resources this week because we have a one-track-mind as we approach the start of our next series coming up THIS MONDAY. We believe whole-heartedly in the MotherHood community and The Grace Experiment and the positive impact both will have on your mom-life! So, warm-up your coffee again and head over to MotherHood to check things out!
Thank you for being here today. Enjoy the rest of your weekend and may it kick-off an extraordinary week!
Love & Grace,
Rachel (& Amanda)
