Grace in the Race

Who Needs Grace in the Race?

You are here: Home / Grace at Home / Who Needs Grace in the Race?

Who needs Grace in the Race?

The short answer: we all do. We all owe it to ourselves to seek a temporary reprieve (that’s grace) in the endless pursuit of an exhausting routine (that’s the race).

For the sake of our journey together, our message is for the moms out there.

The moms that are tired of running on empty, chasing the dream, making little progress, carrying the chronic weight of mom-guilt, and then waking up day after day to face it all again. They are out there coordinating chaos and they are in need of grace!

Our mission at Grace in the Race is to provide Sensible Solutions for Chaos Coordinators.

If you’re wondering if this means you, read our profile of a chaos coordinator, Are You a Chaos Coordinator? Chances are, mama, you’re one of us.

We all come in different shapes and sizes, have different skills and talents, operate at different speeds, and function at a variety of motivation levels.  Some of you are a self-proclaimed hot mess. You don’t even know where to begin. You can identify chaos in every area of life.

Some of you feel confident in some areas and less confident in others and recognize you have some work to do. The primary struggle among this group is typically a lack of consistency. We can help with that.

The rest of you, are killing it. You are overachievers. You have a plan and are on a mission to slay it! But, I have to ask, are you giving yourself grace? The hot messes may not even realize grace is an option, but you overachievers tend to think you don’t have time for it or worse, you think you don’t need it! Mamas, it’s time to get on board: we ALL need it!

Wherever you fall on the spectrum of chaos coordination, there is (at least) one commonality between us.

We all fall victim to our limiting beliefs from time to time. We compare ourselves to others, engage in negative self-talk, or simply think we’re not enough. Even the best of us have bad days. Sometimes it’s just a blip on the radar and we’re able to get right back on track. Sometimes, it’s a season and we propel into a downward spiral. The saving grace is to see the chaos as a phase, and know that you’ll come out of the phase stronger than you started.

We invite perseverance when we push pause and soak up the temporary reprieve from the race.

We’re all battling ‘stuff’. And, we’re not here to decide who is facing a greater struggle. We’ll never pretend to know the individual challenges you face, but for some of you, we’ve walked in your cute shoes and are here to share with you the tools for rocking your chaos.  We are going to direct you to resources including books, podcasts, videos, blogs, industry leaders, and experts to help you hone in on your best you. It’s going to take some work but you’re worth it and you’re going to love the results!

So, whether you have been momming for ages or are new to the game, Grace in the Race has got you covered. Maybe you’re an expecting mom! What luck that you found us when you did!

We wish someone would have taught us grace when we were just starting out as new moms.

You deserve to know what you’re in for… because no one tells you… and for the record, we adore our children, but… there’s just… well, top-secret intel that you’re only privy to once you’re in too deep; when you’re thrown to the wolves of this secret society called motherhood. Okay, I might be exaggerating but know that as you navigate your way, you are not alone. We’re here for you too!

Consider this statistic from the 2017 US Census Bureau: 43.5 million women, age 15-50 are mothers.  (I told you you weren’t alone!)

Here’s another statistic: as of August 2019, 132.16 million people were employed in the US.

I give you both numbers for perspective. There are 132 million people in the U.S. who are educated and/or trained to do their jobs. There are 43 million people (the aforementioned mothers) expected to figure out their job – on the job – with no training and little sleep. How is it, in 2020, that we are still handed a human and left to figure it out alone? That’s where Grace in the Race can help.

We’ve been there, done that and bought the t-shirt. Now, we’re paying it forward!

GIRL, this is not a smoke and mirrors gimmick. It’s all about clearing the noise and paying attention to the things around you to start making small improvements in these five categories of Grace in the Race:

  1. Life-management (Grace in Productivity)
  2. Household management (Grace at Home)
  3. Personal development (Grace in Growth)
  4. Mental & physical health (Grace in Wellness)
  5. Family relationships (Grace in Family)

When you better manage your calendar and to-do list, you make time to better manage your household. And, when your household is in order, you can think more clearly and tune in to what YOU need. When you have a positive mindset, you will develop a love for your mind and body and experience a shift in how you take care of yourself. And when you feel well and at the top of your game, your whole family will notice and follow your lead because joy is contagious!

If you are in a position to institute change, a better you is within your reach.

Start today and tackle it with Grace in the Race. We are going to help you get laser-focused by shifting your mindset and before you know it, you’ll be rocking your chaos. So, join us and share us with a friend. It might just change your life!
