Why Moms Need to Give Themselves Grace

MotherShip | Issue #002

You are here: Home / Uncategorized / Why Moms Need to Give Themselves Grace

If you read our last post, you know there’s a better way and that giving yourself grace is key. Unfortunately, that information alone doesn’t make us immune to the chaos.

Work Smarter, Not Harder

We’re still susceptible to the hardships and struggles involved in raising great kids and keeping a happy home. However, after years of approaching it the hard way, we reached the end of our rope. We decided it was time to work smarter instead of harder!

We are no strangers to productivity-methods, strategies, and practices. You know what I’m talking about – the expensive planners, pretty leather-bound journals, and fancy pens that are helpful (and perhaps good for morale) but never make the process any easier. And so, we came up with an idea that marries our desperation for a better way to “mom” with a system that allows for grace.

Sometimes moms overlook the option to give themselves grace.

Grace comes with the awareness that just having a system doesn’t mean you never have days where you can’t overcome the hard things.

In our MotherShip system, we’ve made space for those times. When we identify that it’s “one of those days” and some items will have to come off the to-do list, we push the proverbial grace button, move on, and never look back. The system is designed to handle those days because moms can’t avoid them.

Our intention is for MotherShip to be useful. It’s important that it doesn’t fall under the “gym membership” stigma. You know, the one with all of the promises of idealistic results that never pay out. While it looks great on paper, the expectations are not realistic; nor is what it would take to meet them.

MotherShip is different. Remember we mentioned the grace button – push it at any time on any day and scrap the plan for that day. But get this, tomorrow, a new plan will pop up, and hopefully, by then, you’ll be ready to rock it!

MotherShip is for Moms

This system is 100% for moms. We’ve weighed in all the mom-life factors because that’s what’s missing from traditional “self-help” practices and systems – they doesn’t take into consideration the mom factor… all the hats we wear… and all the juggling. They don’t consider that moms need to give themselves grace.

But, we do!

Our plan is broken down into manageable sections. We recognize the necessity to have a multi-faceted approach that is simultaneously uncomplicated AND flexible because moms need to give themselves grace.

We have an agenda for your daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly tasks, goals, and important reminders.

We’ve built in plenty of wiggle room for you to customize the above plan to suit your needs, your schedule, your family, your life!

We will help you every step of the way!

Additionally, we host a quarterly reset and an annual “Mom’s New Year” seminar to ensure that you stay on track! (No gym membership smoke and mirrors here!)

Moms Need to Give Themselves Grace

You’ll hear us say that again and again because we believe whole-heartedly that it’s a major component to righting the ship when it comes to motherhood.

We have so much more to share with you about MotherShip so fasten your seatbelts and stick with us. There’s never before been anything quite like this and we’re delighted to have you along for the ride!
